In order to provide a greater breadth of services, certain functions provided on this Website are outsourced to third parties. Specifically, InsureBC has contracted with a third-party to help improve our technical services and operations as well as provide additional business services to our visitors. Certain pages in this Website, therefore, are operated and controlled by a third party (“Co-Branded Areas”). These Co-Branded Areas continue to display InsureBC’s, Insureityourself’s and other subsidiaries and affiliate logos at the top of the page but are nonetheless operated and managed by a third party. These Terms, in conjunction with any further terms and conditions posted in the Co-Branded Areas, govern your access and use of those areas. In all other respects, access to the Co-Branded Areas is at your own risk.
The Website may provide link out or refer you to other websites. InsureBC has no control over such third-party websites, and therefore you hereby acknowledge and agree that InsureBC, Insureityourself Insurance Services Ltd. and other subsidiaries and affiliates are not responsible for the availability of such third-party websites and/or resources. InsureBC does not endorse, and is not responsible or liable for, any terms and conditions, privacy policies, content, advertising, services, products and/or other materials at or available from such third-party websites or resources, or for any damages and/or losses arising therefrom.

Insurance Quotes & Coverages
All quotes generated in this Website are based on information you provided on this Website, as well as, in some cases, information we obtain from third parties. Quotes do not constitute a contract or an invitation to contract, or a binder of agreement to extend, continue or renew insurance coverages. Upon agreeing to the terms outlined during the purchase process, your insurance policy will be in effect as per the effective date you have provided during the purchase process. The coverage descriptions provided in this Website are general descriptions of potentially available insurance coverage products and services and are not a statement of contract or an invitation to contract. To obtain insurance coverage you must complete all of the steps in this Website through the final application through Website or otherwise. Applications may be subject to underwriting review and approval. If you are unsure of the meaning of any of our online products, coverages, or questions posed, please do not purchase insurance via our website, but instead contact one of our licensed insurance brokers or visit one of our locations.
If you file a claim under your policy, the information you submit and the loss are subject to review and verification. We reserve the right to request additional information before submitting your claims information to your insurance carrier. In most cases, a claim representative from our insurance partners may contact you regarding your claim. Your claim is of course subject to the provisions in your policy.
Agreement to Conduct Electronic Transactions
We are required by law to provide certain disclosure to you before you enter into a transaction electronically via the Website, by phone or email. In addition, we need your consent to enter into such transactions before we can deliver, or authorize the delivery of certain documents to you electronically. If you enter into a transaction with us via the Website, or by phone or email, you acknowledge that you have read our Agreement to Conduct Electronic Transactions (available on www.insurebc.ca) and agree to the terms and conditions set forth therein.
Limitation of Liability
You expressly understand and agree that InsureBC, Insureityourself Insurance Services Ltd. and all other subsidiaries and affiliates of InsureBC shall not be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential and/or exemplary damages including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses (even if Insureityourself has been advised of the possibility of such damages), to the fullest extent permissible by law for: (a) the use or the inability to use the site, services and/or any other products and/or services that you may apply for through the site; (b) the cost of procurement of substitute goods and services resulting from any goods, data, information and/or services purchased or obtained from, or transactions entered into through, the site; (c) the failure to qualify for services from our third party providers; (d) the unauthorized access to, or alteration of, your registration data; and (e) any other matter relating to the site, services and/or any other products and/or services that you may apply for through the site. This limitation applies to all causes of action, in the aggregate including, but not limited to, breach of contract, breach of warranty, negligence, strict liability, misrepresentations and any and all other torts. You hereby release Insureityourself and its third-party providers from any and all obligations, liabilities and claims in excess of the limitations stated herein. If applicable law does not permit such limitations, the maximum liability of InsureBC, Insureityourself and all subsidiaries and affiliates to you under any and all circumstances will be three hundred dollars (USD$300.00). The negation of damages set forth above is a fundamental element of the basis of the bargain between you and Insureityourself. The website, services and/or any other products and/or services that you may apply for through the site would not be provided to you without such limitations.
Insurance Carriers – and how we get paid
All insurance products offered by InsureBC through its digital division Insureityourself Insurance Services are underwritten by various licensed Canadian insurance companies. Insureityourself Insurance Services is remunerated by either a policy fee charged and/or a commission on all insurance policies sold and renewed on behalf of the insurance companies we represent. Commissions and policy fees can range from 8% to 40% depending on the contract terms with the individual insurance company and/or the type of policy sold.
